Article Abstract
Cerebral microbleeds in our patient represent bleeding-prone necrotizing vasculitis, which is a characteristic pathologic feature of MPA. Although cerebrovascular disease is not major complication of MPA, cerebral hemorrhage occurs more frequently than ischemic infarction, and it can be critical and fatal. Brain MRIs, including gradient echo T2-weighted imaging, should be performed on patients diagnosed as or suspected of having MPA to assess the risk of cerebral hemorrhage.
